Khao-Ko National park

Khao-Ko is a district of Phetchabun Province. The population of Khao-Ko is estimated to be 33,969 (stat in 2007). Almost of area is mountainous and densely forested slopes with many beautiful paysages. It is famous for “Khao-Ko National park”

Khao-Ko is located on Tropical Forest, there are many type of forest in this nation park such as Dry Dipterocarp Forest, Pine Forest and Deciduous Forest. It was designated to be “Little Switzerland” from many visitors, because of beautiful scenery and cool weather like Switzerland….

How to get there..

Khao-Ko nation park is not far from Phetchabun town, just about 1 hour northwest of the town. The office of the nation park is located at Thantip Waterfall Office, 32 km from Phetchabun town.

Apart from your own car, you can take a bus from the town. If you want to take a plane, it’s not possible to land at Phetchabun airport because it is out of service and we don’t know when it’s going to start the service again. You should land at the Phisanulok airport and take a bus to go to Phetchabun.
